Medtronic Minimed Paradigm Glucose Sensor
The Medtronic Minimed Paradigm® REAL-Time glucose sensor is designed to provide you with the most comfortable and easiest way to monitor your glucose levels. Insert the Medtronic Minimed Paradigm® REAL-Time glucose sensor into the skin using an automatic insertion device (similar to a cannula) . The information gathered through the sensor is sent to the MiniLink™ REAL-Time Transmitter, which then transmits it wirelessly to the Paradigm pump in real time!
 The glucose sensor is easily inserted by patients (subcutaneous tissue) using the Sen-serter® automatic insertion device and wear it up to three consecutive days.
Like many types of infusion sets, a needle is used to introduce the glucose sensor but the needle is then removed leaving a tiny flexible electrode just under the skin.
The glucose sensor is then connected to the transmitter (see picture) so the readings from the glucose sensor can be transmitted to your insulin pump.
The information gathered through the sensor is sent to the MiniLink™ REAL-Time Transmitter, which then transmits it wirelessly to the Paradigm pump in real time!
Note: the transmitter and the insertion device are sold separately.
