Product Description:

The DuoDERM CGF Control Gel Formula Sterile Dressing by ConvaTec is a hydrocolloid wound contact dressing. The hydrocolloid is contained within the mass of the dressing. Polymers, contained in the adhesive, enhances the dressings ability to contain wound exudate by forming a cohesive gel. DuoDERM CGF Sterile Dressing provides a moist environment, supporting the body's healing process and aiding in the removal of unnecessary material from the wound without damaging new tissue. It acts as a barrier to the wound against bacterial, viral and other external contamination. Laboratory tests show that DuoDERM CGF Sterile Dressing blocks the passage of bacteria and viruses to include the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV-1) while the dressing remains intact without leakage.
