      This kit includes everything you need to get started. It included 10 test strips, 2 lancet drums (12 lancets), the Multiclix lancet device and a 2.5 ml bottle of control solution. I wish the official list of contents on the site was this specific. It would have prevented me buying the solution separately. I cannot attest to the accuracy of the meter, but it seems consistent with how I feel (I'm not diabetic, but have low blood sugar). The lancet device seems very clever. I've only used it on my finger tips. You can easily adjust puncture depth. I definitely feel the prick, but the wound is very tiny, stops bleeding almost immediately after squeezing out the right amount of blood and heals very rapidly. This was my first time using a glucose meter and I got it right the very first time I attempted a test. It is a bit annoying they only give you IR for transmission to a computer, however I knew that when I bought the device. You can buy a receiver from Roche if you wish.
